The Gullhouse at Seal Rock

The Gullhouse is a rare, secluded, intimate hide-a-way on the popular Central Oregon Coast.

Enjoy the stunning views of dawn over the ocean, crashing storms, whale spouts, and dramatic sun sets as you drink wine on the deck, sit in the hot tub or even from the comfort of the great room!

Walk across the street to the Seal Rock Wayside (the beach)! Or, if you prefer, choose one of the 4 State Parks within a 2 mile radius of the Gullhouse. Take a picnic lunch, a kite and don't forget your camera!

Our guests travel here from all over the world to revel in the amazing views of the crashing surf and ocean wildlife. They love sitting in the secluded hot tub (no neighbors other than the seals) and watching the gulls, pelicans, bald eagles and magnificent gray whales, migrating 12,000 miles from Alaska to Baja and back.

At low tide you can see orange and purple sea stars and a dozen seals resting on the rocks. You don't have to leave the Gullhouse to experience the beauty of the Oregon Coast and many of our guests don't!

The home is equipped with every modern amenity, including a large deck, ocean view hot tub and a kitchen that will serve every cook's need. (One of our guests hosts a TV cooking show, and even HE was happy with what he found!)

There are binoculars, a spotting scope and bird & marine life identification books for your use.

Newlyweds experience their idyllic honeymoons at the Gullhouse and return for their anniversaries. A number of our guests have chosen the Gullhouse as the place to pop THE question. Birthday celebrations and families have gathered to enjoy the serenity, hand-in hand walks on the beach, and to inspect the amazing tide pools.

Close to the Hatfield Marine Science Center, the biologists frequently take their specimens from our beach. The historic town of Newport and the Newport Aquarium is also close.
