THE HOUSE The dark brown wooden exterior of the Tahoe Donner Forest Hideaway is perfect for its forest setting and is a strong precursor for the mountain getaway that lies inside. The great room inside this elegant home is open and airy, providing a spacious gathering area for your family or group. The focal points in the room are actually the towering pine trees outside, but the two-story wall of windows in the living room brings the outdoors in flawlessly. Admire the stunning wooded view from the couch, love seat, or accent chairs in the living room, or warm up alongside the large stone fireplace. Cook up a meal or grab a snack in the spacious kitchen, which is equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the cutlery and cookware you'll need to prepare meals if desired. A generously sized dining table is adjacent to the kitchen, where bench seating adds a stylish touch. Bar stools at the kitchen peninsula add additional seating to this Truckee vacation rental.

The Tahoe Donner Forest Hideaway is equipped with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to nine guests. Enjoy plenty of privacy in the master suite, which is separated from the other main floor bedrooms by the great room. Wood floors and a vaulted wood beam ceiling add a special touch to the master suite, which contains a king bed and spacious wardrobe. A blue focal wall adds a splash of color, while the opposite wall features sliding glass doors that open up to views of the peaceful wooded yard. Step out onto the deck from the master, where you can enjoy a quiet cup of morning coffee. The en suite bathroom boasts a spacious corner jetted tub, perfect for a relaxing soak at the end of the day. Double sinks allow plenty of space for multiple people to get ready in the morning, and there is also a separate glass enclosed shower.

The two guest bedrooms on the other side of the great room also offer queen beds and spacious mirrored closets with plenty of room for unpacking or storing luggage. Soft carpet, neutral bedding, and bedside lamps create a restful area for additional guests. Children or teens will be delighted to discover the upstairs loft in the Tahoe Donner Forest Hideaway. Stairs leading up from the great room reveal a lofted room with three twin beds. Complete with a full bathroom, families will love this extra little hideaway!

The two car garage comes equipped with an EV Charger for guest use. The home was recently upgraded with air conditioning to help cool off in those hot summer months. Everything you need for an easy and enjoyable Truckee vacation, Tahoe Donner Forest Hideaway has it!

LOCATION/AMENITIES Our Tahoe Donner Forest Hideaway is a great property to spend your summer as well as your winter vacations, Tahoe Donner Association gives you access to the clubhouse and the Rec Center, that has 2 swimming pools (a heated lap pool open year round and a big pool open in summer only), 3 hot tubs, 2 saunas, a cardio and a weight room. There is also a golf course and tennis courts only a few minutes' drive from the house as well as a private association beach on the east end of Donner Lake. Tahoe Donner has a ski resort as well that's available for your enjoyment, especially great if you have children. You won't even need to leave the area because of all the great activities offered including 2 restaurants and hiking and biking trails just as you walk out your front door. Enjoy our private vacation home as much as we do.

Each eligible property is issued two guest cards to access the recreation amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Guest cards only allow for up to 4 guests per card. Guest access fees apply per person per day and vary from activity to activity. Children 6 and under are free.

We recommend a 4WD or AWD when traveling to Tahoe in the winter, The California Highway Patrol requires chains during large winter storms.
