The home is fully equipped with cooking supplies, King-sized beds in each room, and 3 bathrooms to accommodate up to 8 guests! Scenic Mountain Views: The spacious Family room at Mountain View Lodge is decorated with huge windows and a deck that looks far out into the Sierra Mountains. The deck is equipped with seating, an outdoor firepit, and a gas BBQ to allow you to get the most out of the mountain serenity. The backyard patio offers a covered quiet outdoor lounge space that allows guests to lay back and look out at the ample views provided by the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Indoors: a plush, cozy, sectional couch is strategically positioned to maximize views from the comfort of inside, where you can warm up near the gas fireplace. A large flat screen TV with cable is on hand for evening entertainment or relaxing days in. The floorplan flows easily into the kitchen, where kitchen appliances and all the cookware you'll need are on hand for preparing meals if desired. Even the kitchen is set up to maximize the views, with the kitchen island facing the wall of windows to enjoy the scenery as you cook. A Luxurious Retreat: Feel like royalty no matter the room you stay in as all 3 bedrooms are equipped with a King-sized mattress. Perhaps no room is better suited to make someone feel like royalty than the upstairs master bedroom. This room is fully-equipped with a private full-bathroom, TV, computer desk, and private deck with outdoor furniture so you can sit out and enjoy the views. Downstairs Master: Not much will change as you enter the downstairs Master suite, fully setup with a full-bathroom, TV, and patio. LOCATION/AMENITIES Our Mountain View Lodge home is a great property to spend your summer as well as your winter vacations, Tahoe Donner Association gives you access to the clubhouse that has 2 swimming pools (a heated lap pool open year-round and a big pool open in summer only), 3 hot tubs, 2 saunas, a cardio and a weight room. There is also a golf course and tennis courts only a few minutes drive from the house as well as a private association beach on the east end of Donner Lake. Tahoe Donner has a ski resort as well that's available for your enjoyment, especially great if you have children. You won't even need to leave the area because of all the great activities offered including 2 restaurants, hiking, and biking trails just as you walk out your front door, enjoy our private vacation home as much as we do.
Summer Activities Include: Golf, Horseback Riding, Hike and Mountain Bike Tours, Bocce Ball, and Archery. Winter Activities are: Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, and Snowshoeing, Tubing, and sledding.
Each eligible property is issued two guest cards to access the recreation amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Guest cards only allow for up to 4 guests per card. Guest access fees apply per person per day and vary from activity to activity. Children 6 and under are free.
We recommend a 4WD or AWD when traveling to Tahoe in the winter, chains are a requirement.
