ABOUT THE HOUSE The majestic Lakeview Mountaintop Chateau featured in the Tahoe Quarterly's Sixth Annual Mountain Home Awards, awarded with "The Best Interior Remodel" is a "sophisticated rustic" masterpiece curated by High Camp Home. This expansive vacation home features 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 lofts, 2 living areas, jaw-dropping 180 degrees mountain views and it overlooks Donner Lake, you'll be in awe the moment you step inside. Our Lakeview Mountaintop Tahoe Chateau was designed and decorated with you in mind, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Enjoy the pool table, the massage chair, play a dart game, or relax in the hot tub. The many decks offer options to retreat and read a book, or just enjoy the view, and the fort-like loft will be the kids favorite hideaway, no matter the season, age, or activity preference, you'll find something to do at our Lakeview Mountaintop Chateau!

On the main level of the home, you will find a great room with an impressive fireplace, a Chef's Kitchen, dining area, and living room. Off of the living room, there is an office with a queen built-in and also a full bathroom. On the other end of the home, you will find access to the second loft. Upstairs are three twin beds and a great space for kids to hang out and play games together.

Downstairs you will find the expansive Master Suite with incredible views and a gas fireplace. The Spa-Esque bathroom features a luxurious copper tub that sits next to a gas fireplace that provides the perfect ambiance for relaxing after a long day in the mountains. There is also a separate shower with two sinks and the entire bathroom boasts mountain rock and stone aesthetics.

Along with the master suite, you will find two guest rooms and a bunk room with two shared guest bathrooms. All bedrooms are south-facing to showcase the amazing views of the mountains over Donner Lake. The entire home boasts beautiful mountain craftsmanship and provides a special environment for you and the family on your next Truckee vacation.

Items to Note: Please note, you will need high clearance vehicles, snow tires, and/or chains, to access the home in the winter, the house is up top Tahoe Donner, which comes with an amazing view but also with a lot of snow and challenges if you aren't properly prepared.

LOCATION/AMENITIES Our Lakeview Mountaintop Tahoe Chateau home is a great property to spend your summer as well as your winter vacations, Tahoe Donner Association gives you access to the clubhouse that has 2 swimming pools (a heated lap pool open year-round and a big pool open in summer only), 3 hot tubs, 2 saunas, a cardio and a weight room. There is also a golf course and tennis courts only a few minutes drive from the house as well as a private association beach on the east end of Donner Lake. Tahoe Donner has a ski resort as well that's available for your enjoyment, especially great if you have children. You won't even need to leave the area because of all the great activities offered including 2 restaurants, hiking, and biking trails just as you walk out your front door, enjoy our private vacation home as much as we do.

Summer Activities Include: Golf, Horseback Riding, Hike and Mountain Bike Tours, Bocce Ball, and Archery. Winter Activities are: Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, and Snowshoeing, Tubing, and sledding.

Each eligible property is issued two guest cards to access the recreation amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Guest cards only allow for up to 4 guests per card. Guest access fees apply per person per day and vary from activity to activity. Children 6 and under are free.

We recommend a 4WD or AWD when traveling to Tahoe in the winter, chains are a requirement.
