Enjoy a mountain getaway at Camp Howdy in Tahoe Donner. This spacious home offers three bedrooms and two baths, accommodating up to eight guests.

Gather Together

Entry into Camp Howdy reveals a spacious great room, offering plenty of space for gathering together. A large stone fireplace and Americana décor create a mountain cabin atmosphere. Multiple leather sofas and an easy chair provide ample seating for curling up by the fireplace in the evenings under one of the warm throw blankets. A large, wall-mounted flat-screen TV is perfect for viewing an evening movie as a family. The living area flows easily into the kitchen, where you will find a spacious kitchen fully equipped with everything you'll need to prepare meals if desired. Pull up a barstool for morning coffee or a quick lunch or prepare and enjoy a meal at the extensive dining table that seats six. Large windows let in plenty of natural light and reveal the serene view of the wooded yard and wrap-around deck.

Enjoy Space and Privacy

Set apart from the others, the downstairs bedroom makes a good master. Admire views of the snow-covered pines from the queen bed. A wall-mounted flat-screen TV allows you to enjoy movies in bed before drifting off to sleep. Tiptoe out to grab your morning cup of coffee before retreating back to your room in the morning to catch up on your favorite shows and watch the snowfall. The spacious downstairs bathroom offers an extra-long vanity with double sinks, allowing plenty of personal space to get ready in the mornings.

The upstairs area is light and bright with a soft, Berber carpet. Two bedrooms and an additional bath allow for some separation from the master. One upstairs bedroom offers a queen bed, while the other offers two double beds. Buffalo plaid accents on the beds continue the mountain cabin atmosphere throughout the second level. An additional full bathroom on the second level allows for privacy and convenience for guests staying upstairs.

Camp Howdy is decorated throughout in neutral colors, with occasional bright pops of red adding a splash of color. The warm tones and textures of this home provide a cozy atmosphere for your home base to explore the Tahoe area. There's nothing like a day on the slopes or the trails before retreating back to the comfort of your own private home at Camp Howdy!

LOCATION/AMENITIES

Camp Howdy is a great property to spend your summer as well as your winter vacations, Tahoe Donner Association gives you access to the clubhouse that has 2 swimming pools (a heated lap pool open year-round and a big pool open in summer only), 3 hot tubs, 2 saunas, cardio, and a weight room. There is also a golf course and tennis courts only a few minutes drive from the vacation rental in Lake Tahoe as well as a private association beach on the east end of Donner Lake. Tahoe Donner has a ski resort as well that's available for your enjoyment, especially great if you have children. You won't even need to leave the area because of all the great activities offered including 2 restaurants, hiking, and biking trails just as you walk out your front door, enjoy our private vacation home as much as we do.

Summer Activities Include: Golf, Horseback Riding, Hike and Mountain Bike Tours, Bocce Ball, and Archery.

Winter Activities are: Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, and Snowshoeing, Tubing, and sledding.

Each eligible property is issued two guest cards to access the recreation amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Guest cards only allow for up to 4 guests per card. Guest access fees apply per person per day and vary from activity to activity. Children 6 and under are free.

We recommend a 4WD or AWD when traveling to Tahoe in the winter, chains are a requirement.
